Wild Bird Club of the Philippines Mock Poster

This is a mock-up poster I made for my DEVC 207 (Design & Production of Audio Visual Dev't. Comm. Materials) class at the UP Open University. This is for a mock campaign (i.e., the campaign is not an actual campaign) of the Wild Bird Club of the Philippines (but the club is real, and the mock campaign is aligned with the club's objectives since I actually am a member of the club) to discourage people from hunting birds and instead go into bird photography.

Right click on poster and open on new tab to view large. On the new tab, click on the image to zoom.

RH Bill Sentiments Flood the Net

After the fire over the Cybercrime Law and the fad over Amalayer had died down, the RH Bill is back as one of the hottest trending topics in the Philippines right now.

Netizens, both for and against the RH Bill, have been tweeting their sentiments about the bill since December 12, the morning the bill won 113 vs. 104 on its second reading in Congress.

Most of those who were for the bill expressed their sentiments against the threats made by some Catholic priests against those who are for the bill:

Those who are against the bill, on the other hand, still don't want to give up yet saying that it is not only their religion that tells them to go against the bill but the knowledge that the bill won't do anything to alleviate poverty in the country.

As of December 14, 2012, the president has certified the RH Bill as urgent which means it is "no longer subject to the three-day rule," which means it may be approved on third and final reading immediately after hurdling second reading.
